About Your Guide
It all started when…
Originally from Denver, Colorado, I grew up enjoying the manifold blessings of outdoor life along the front range and in the mountains. I studied Biology and Education before teaching high school biology and general sciences.
After completing my MA in history, I worked for the Center For Jewish History (CJH) in New York city. I felt right at home and uniquely suited to combining my love of history and leveraging technology to support the CJH’s mission as the largest collection of Jewish historical materials outside the state of Israel.
After immigrating to Israel with my family, I attended the University of Haifa to earn my guiding credentials. Guiding enables me to fuse my love of the unique qualities of Israel and its history and share that excitement with others.
I guide people not sites. It is important to me that you find the experience you dreamed of while visiting Israel.
This is a short incomplete list of my favorite parts of Israel:
Negev Desert nature and agricultural sites
Ein Fashcha oasis on Dead Sea
Masada
Akko Old City
Golan Heights
Hula Valley

I had a fantastic two days of touring around Tel Aviv and Jaffa with Robert. He is a knowledgeable, personable and delightful guide. He has a great understanding of history, geography, human behavior and politics that he brings to his descriptions of important people, events and places. If you’re looking for someone to learn about Israel, it’s diverse cultural background and remarkable archeological, military, and biblical history, Robert is your guy. He is fun to be with and tailors his tours to meet your individual expectations. I highly recommend spending some time with Robert as your tour guide.

Hi Robert, Hope all is well. I just wanted to thank you again for making our trip so memorable. Thinking back over our eleven days, I realize again how much we learned about Israel’s history, politics and culture because of you and just can’t thank you enough. Plus, you’re a super fun guy, which is a true bonus. 🙂 Thanks for sharing your incredible knowledge of Israel, for your flexibility and planning, for the shared pictures, and for just being a great person to spend time with. We hope to tour again with you some day soon. Cheers, Vicki

Robert made our Israel trip truly incredible. He explained so much about the country that we never could have learnt ourselves, and did so in such an engaging and humorous manner. I would highly recommend anyone who can to travel around Israel and beyond with Robert, it’s a truly unique experience.

Before our trip to Israel, Robert spoke with us a couple of times to understand our interests and what we hoped to see and learn on our trip of a lifetime. He put our trip together based on what we wanted and adjusted on the fly when we wanted to go deeper into an area or skip something altogether. Robert provided the insider’s view to the culture, strife, and history of the country he’s clearly passionate about. We felt safe and immersed in daily life, exactly as we’d wanted. Most of all, Robert was relatable, personable, and fun! Our time in Israel with Robert as our guide far exceeded any expectations we had, and we are looking forward to planning our next trip with him!

I have been to Israel a few times. I felt like I had visited the big sites and understood Israel. Robert opened my eyes offering many options previously unknown to me. I chose a two day desert expedition. I truly had no idea how important the Negev is to Israel and the world. The challenges Israel overcame changing a virtually sterile environment into an innovative and productive area is absolutely staggering. I was awed. You should seriously consider visiting the desert with Robert and see what you thought you knew with new eyes.
